Go through the entire post to know how it works and how to use Google chrome’s tab group feature, etc.
Google Chrome’s Tab Groups: The Best Feature in Years
Google Chrome is the world’s most popular and most used browser. There are many reasons like it’s ease of use, reliable, speed, etc. So, in order to maintain this, Google adds various features and updates to make the work of their users easier. Google Chrome users will see another big update next week with a brilliant new feature that will make browsing a whole lot easier.
If you are one among them who tends to have some tons of tabs open at a time or if that thought of having multiple tabs at a time horrifies you, then this update is ideal for you. Because this update was rolled out for both tab minimalists and tab collectors.
In simple terms, these tab groups act like folders for your tabs, which shows all the tabs that are within them on the top bar of your Chrome. The idea behind these tab groups is to make organizing your chrome tabs easier, but with their default behaviour, it might become a bit messier for some of the users.
Check out the GIF below to know how this new feature of Google chrome works.
How these Tab Groups help you organize your Tabs?
Tab groups, as the name suggests, it lets you neatly organize your active tabs together into groups with just a simple right click. With these, you can easily combine similar websites into a group so you don’t have some dozens of miniature tabs looking for a spot at the top of your browser.
You’ll definitely find these grouping tabs useful while working on multiple projects. For example, if you’re writing an article or preparing a presentation, you can add all the websites or resources to one group and all your entertainment into another, simple 🙂
These are very easy to use and you can also give each tab group a name as well as a colour so that you can easily differentiate them and also know exactly where to look when you want to reopen a tab.
How to use this new feature? To use the Google chrome’s tab groups feature, you can right-click on a tab and choose “Add tab to group.” We have listed some detailed steps on grouping these tabs in the below section.
